Tornado Recover 2024
On April 26, strong thunderstorms hit southeast Nebraska, spawning multiple tornadoes, including three EF-3s that wreaked havoc from Waverly, through Elkhorn, parts of Omaha, Bennington, Blair, and into Iowa. As many as 450 homes in Nebraska were completely destroyed, and thousands more homes and businesses were damaged. Thanks to Nebraska's dedicated storm spotter network, the National Weather Service, and state and local Emergency Management, Nebraskans had enough advanced warning that only minor injuries were reported, despite the extensive damage to populated areas, but hundreds of families will need our continuing support to recover from the loss of their homes and belongings. Because we are members of these communities, FSCAN is taking donations for storm recovery efforts, to be donated to the Salvation Army Western Division, serving Nebraska and Iowa.
Thank you for your support
